Movin Along

Sorry I am so bad at blogging. A ton has happened since I wrote last. Grace is now 5 months old and she is growing like a weed. She has gone from the 8th to the 33rd to the 53rd to the 71st percentile in her weight. Here is a picture of her at 5 months and 1 week.

We have been so blessed to have her come to our little family. She has been sleeping through the night since 3 months, we had the occasional growth spurt but she loves her crib and all her blankets. She loves to pull the covers over her head to sleep in fact after fighting it for a month I finally gave in and stopped pulling the blanket down. Her first smile was around 2 months but to catch it on camera seemed much more difficult. She knew exactly what the camera was and refused to show any signs of happiness as soon as we pulled it out. She has been laughing now for almost 2 months and about 2 weeks ago we started to feed her rice cereal. She loves it. Within two days she had mastered opening her mouth in preparation for the in coming food. About a week ago she started to roll over(Back to belly and belly to back). This has made her somewhat mobile now. When I put her down to play with her toys, within seconds she has rolled herself from one spot to another. My neighbor lent me her Johnny Jumper and she spends at least thirty minutes a day mastering the art of bouncing.

Grace was blessed 2 weeks after she was born. It was difficult to figure out because my family was only in town for another few days and the week that we needed to bless her a General Authority came to our Sacrament meeting. It was disappointing for me since I spent 6 weeks making her blessing dress. Never the less she was blessed and it was still one of the most special days of my life.

Thanksgiving was so much fun we got to go to Swan Valley and stay in cabins with the Tibbitts side of the family. Good food and awesome people made for a fun time. Grace was amazing she cried once and that was because she was hungry. She is such an awesome baby. We spent this Christmas with my family in Virginia and surprisingly Grace only cried once during both the flights there and back. We had a ton of fun with my family and I am pretty sure Grace was held every second except when it was bed time. Unfortunately two days before we left Grace got some sort of infection and was up for two nights not being able to breathe. Even then she still smiled and let everyone hold her and love her. She loves all of her family very much. Thanks Grammy and Papa for an amazing Christmas.

We are now back in the burg where I am pretty sure I will die from lack of UV rays. It has snowed non-stop since we arrived and I don't want to sound ungrateful but it sucks! On the bright side of things we are surrounded by sweet people and I get to be real close to Kristen through her pregnancy. We are excited that she is bringing another girl into this world. We need all the righteous women we can get now, to bring up righteous children in this very wicked world. Ben has three semesters left after this and then we will be off to Vet school( Pray for VA). Hope you all had as much fun as we did through the Holidays.
